We desperately need a playmaker and I would have thought there must be some good 'technically' gifted Croats out there who can fit that role.
This Barcelona wonderkid, Halilović, what type of player is he?
I would hope and imagine that Poyet will be given a chance by Slaven and the early stages of the EL should be perfect for that.

Of course, we don't have to sign Croatian players but I'd be surprised if Bilic couldn't encourage one or two of the more talented who are bubbling under the radar to join the squad...
Obviously Modric and Rakitic are out of the question - Anybody who realistically thinks those two are possibilities is stupid.

Is Bilic actually any good? Why does everyone want him here so much? I dont think he's managerial record at club level is great is it? Managing a national team is nothing like club management.
I just dont get it.

Who was that young Croatian right back Arsenal were after a while ago? Don't think he went anywhere in the end but buggered if I can remember his name. Might be an option if Jenkinson doesn't come off.
